An open discussion on Sinophobia and racism against Chinese, East and Southeast Asian people in the UK and what we can do about it.
Time & Location
04 Dec 2022, 12:30 – 15:30 GMT
London, Made in Chinatown Pop Up Shop, 98 Berwick St, London W1F 0DW
About the event
CARG's primary purpose is to challenge racism and hate crime, especially against the Chinese, East and Southeast Asian communities in the UK through research, education, advocacy, campaigns and collaborating with similar organisations.
CARG interactive workshop will enable the participants to explore and discuss their awareness of Sinophobia and how racism is expressed against people of Chinese, East and Southeast Asian heritage. For example, is “the little China man listening on the phone” racism? The workshop will also consider the role of education and bullying in schools in reinforcing racial stereo and racism.
