It is with heartfelt sadness that CARG marks the passing of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II and joins in mourning the loss of Britain's longest serving monarch.
The Queen dedicated her life to service and is held in high regard and affection by so many. Regardless of what views we may have about monarchy, the Queen’s remarkable lifelong dedication to the nation, her commitment to community, compassion to charitable causes and bridging of cultures through her tireless international work has been a constant in our lifetime.
CARG hopes our community will join hands in conveying our deepest condolences to the Royal Family and her loved ones in these difficult times. CARG has replaced our Facebook page banner during the period of national mourning for the passing of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II.
Her Majesty’s passing is the end of an era for Britain and the beginning of another, which we in the British ESEA (East and Southeast Asian) communities can contribute to and help shape.
As individuals in CARG, we came together to form a voluntary group in response to a need within our East and Southeast Asian communities. The Queen’s long service to public duty, compassion to others and humility set the standard for us to follow.
